FORS Support Services

Achieve FORS accreditaion with expert support

What Is FORS Accreditation (And Why It Matters)

FORS (Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme) is a nationally recognised accreditation that promotes best practices in fleet safety, efficiency, and environmental responsibility. Although voluntary, FORS is increasingly seen as essential—especially in construction, logistics, and public-sector contracts—where clients often require operators to be FORS certified.

There are three progressive levels of accreditation—Bronze, Silver, and Gold—each with its own set of standards to demonstrate your commitment to excellence in fleet management.

The Problem Most Operators Face

Getting FORS accreditation isn’t difficult…

Doing it properly is.

Most operators struggle with:

  • Missing or weak policies

  • Incorrect documentation

  • No structured compliance systems

  • Failing audits first time

  • Wasting time trying to “figure it out”

That’s where we come in.

How We Support Your FORS Accreditation Journey

As experienced External Transport Managers (ETMs), we provide hands-on support to help you achieve and maintain FORS accreditation with minimal disruption to your business. Here’s how we can help:

1. Compliance Gap Analysis

We start by reviewing your current operations, policies, and documentation to identify where you meet the FORS standards—and where improvements are needed.

We assess your current operation against FORS standards and show you:

  • What you already meet

  • What’s missing

  • What needs fixing (fast)

You get a clear, no-nonsense action plan.

2. Policy & Procedure Development

We help create and implement essential policies covering driver training, vehicle maintenance, fuel management, and environmental performance to meet FORS criteria.

We create everything required for compliance, including:

  • Driver training policies

  • Maintenance systems

  • Environmental and fuel procedures

  • Risk assessments and compliance records

No templates. Fully tailored to your operation.

3. Safety Systems Implementation

We ensure your business meets FORS safety requirements, including vehicle checks, safety equipment, and comprehensive risk assessments.

We ensure your fleet meets FORS requirements, including:

  • Vehicle safety equipment

  • Walkaround check systems

  • Defect reporting processes

  • Driver compliance structure

Especially critical for Silver and Gold

4. Training Coordination

We organise and deliver training on key topics like eco-driving, road safety, and protecting vulnerable road users—core components of the FORS framework.

We organise and deliver training such as:

  • Safe urban driving

  • Vulnerable road user awareness

  • Eco-driving

Delivered through Driver CPC where required.

5. Audit Preparation

We’ll make sure you’re fully prepared for FORS audits, with all the right documentation and evidence ready for inspection.

We prepare you for your FORS audit by:

  • Reviewing all documentation

  • Running a mock audit

  • Fixing weak areas before inspection

No surprises on audit day.
